What To Consider Before Buying Chicken Egg.

Who does not want good things? Today i would like to share with you two ways you can you to determine whether an egg an egg is good before buying.
We normally buy eggs for two reasons’
- Consumption.
- Incubation.
When buying eggs for both consumption and incubation, you need to make no mistake, you need to select good ones.
How To Determine The Good Egg.
Before buying an egg, it is always very important to know the time it was laid. This is the first thing to consider especially when buying eggs meant for incubation.
It is always advisable that an egg meant for incubation should not be more than 7 days old. Out of my experience, the hatchery percentage of an eggs less than 7 days old is 80%.
For consumption, the best egg is the one less than 7 days old as well, if more should not be more than 10 days. Mostly after 10 days an egg start fertilization process.
Another way to determine the best egg is by shaking. If you shake an egg and you can feel or hear a sound inside, that egg is not good.
If you feel or hear a watery sound, then the egg must be expired. This means that the fertilization process started but fail on the way.
Again you can check using any lighting. The best is using torch or any bulb. If you place an egg on the light, you can either see yellowish colour, or dark inside.
An egg with yellowish inside means that the egg is good for consumption and also for incubation. The one with dark inside means that the fertilization is in process or was in process but failed. So the dark thing inside in basically a developing chick or death chick after failed fertilization.
NOTE: An egg which had already begun fertilization process can not be put inside an incubator for continuity. Incubator machine works in a process, and no short cut for it. Every has to start from the beginning.
Another very important thing to note especially for eggs meant for incubation, is your source. Make sure the eggs you are putting in the incubator are clean and free from infections.
Today is a sad day for me. The small Incubator which had 500 eggs had a fault and overheated. Waking up with 500 eggs wasted. pic.twitter.com/YCH5lh8xT1

When you put eggs with disease infection in the incubator, the disease will affect the chicks immediately they are hatched making it hard for the to survive for long.
For better hatchery results, make sure you to buy eggs from the farmer you know well that he or she is serious when it comes to disease management in the firm.
